I use a collaborative and individual approach while working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I utilize many evidenced-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Structural Family Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as Play and Art Therapy. I have experience with concerns ranging from:
· Self-esteem
· Emotion Regulation
· School Difficulties
· Social Skill Development
· Life Change Transitions
· Behavioral Concerns
· Gender and Sexual Identity Specific Issues
· Interpersonal Relationships
· Depression
· Anxiety
· Trauma
I strongly believe change is possible. I would welcome the opportunity to work alongside you, your child, or your family using a strength-based and client-centered approach where you have a voice in directing the changes you want to make in your life. The therapeutic relationship is crucial to the work and I strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment to help empower clients to use their strengths for personal growth and healing.
I started my private practice in Longview in 2014. Prior to this time I practiced in Portland, Oregon in residential and community mental health settings. I completed my undergraduate degree at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon and received my Masters of Clinical Social Work from Walla Walla University in College Place, Washington.
